Hello lovelies, how’s the new year treating you so far? The first few weeks had been crazy busy for me.
Two weekends ago, I went to Seattle to meet up with my best friend who I haven’t seen for 3 years. She lives in Portugal, while I live in Vancouver, BC. It was a short trip to Seattle, but it was fun nonetheless.
We arrived in Seattle around 9.30 in the morning and we were able to check-in right away. Perks of traveling off-season. The location of our hotel was perfect, it’s a walking distance from the train station as well as the airport.
First stop was the famous Pike Place Market. It is Seattle’s Public Market. We walked around and visited nearby tourist attractions. We had coffee in the very first Starbucks, and it was packed with long line ups.
Next stop was the Seattle Great Wheel. Although we didn’t get to ride it, admiring the views around it is already satisfying. It was by the waterfront, it’s the perfect location to catch the sunset.
If you ever visit Seattle, try to pass by Post Alley by Pike Place Market. They have this alley called the Gum Wall. It looks gross, but at the same time it’s interesting to see.
Before heading for supper, we went around Downtown Seattle, by Westlake Center.
It simply reminds me of Downtown Vancouver. We are surrounded by all kinds of shops, which is amazing.
Last stop for the day was Starbucks Reserve Roastery and Tasting Room. One of my favourite places to visit. The vibe inside is different, so relaxing, chill, and very elegant. I got their Hot Chocolate, and it tastes amazing. It’s like 10 minutes away from Pike Place.
