Reading List: April

Reading List for the Month of April

Can you believe it’s almost April? It’s crazy how months just fly by these days. In today’s blog post, I’ve rounded up current books on my reading list for the month of April. I’ve decided that I’ll be putting up a reading list for each month. YAY! 🙂

I have started most of the books on the list, but never had the time to actually finish them. So I am now challenging myself to actually finish it by the end of April. (Hopefully!) Without further ado, here is my current reading list:

1.) Brain on Fire – I am often interested in novels that has something to do with diseases/illnesses. This novel is about the life story of the author, Susannah Cahalan. She suffered from a rare disease and she describes everything from being hypersensitive to sound, light and weather, to having episodes of paranoia and how it got worse.

2.) Inside the O’Briens – I picked this book because I really liked the movie “Still Alice”. If you have read or watched “Still Alice”, this is from the same author. This novel is about the story of Joe O’Briens and how he battled with the disease called “Huntington’s disease”. This novel touchingly portrays a family who has to face the horrors of this disease. (I am almost done with this book! 👍🏼☺️)

3.) Eleanor and Park – It’s a story of two sixteen-year-olds, who met by accident and along the way they fell in love. It makes you reminisce your teenage years and how it felt to be desperately in love. If you are looking for a quick and light read, this young adult novel is something you should consider. 🙂

4.) Every Day – This is something out of the ordinary. I am intrigued by this book after reading the synopsis which is why I picked it up. It is a story of a person who wakes up in a different body every morning, and living a completely different life every day.

5.) Stylized – This book is by a Filipino fashion editor and stylist, Liz Uy. In this book she gives tips on how to build a functional and stylish wardrobe with her top ten style essentials. It is a must read book for us girls and it tells us that basics is a must in every girl’s wardrobe.

There you have it, my reading list for next month! Please let me know if you want me to do a review of the books I’ve mentioned above after I finish them.
