I’m still searching for that perfect moisturizer that will match my skin. More often than not I tend to get oily with most of the moisturizers I’ve tried. I’ve tried moisturizers recommended by a dermatologist, high-end and drugstore moisturizers, but none of them seems to work. Until I found this Simple Moisturizer, it’s still not what I’m looking for but it works better than most of the ones I’ve tried.
On a daily basis, I don’t usually put primer. I feel like primers are the ones causing my breakouts or maybe just this one that I’m using. But if I do use a primer, my go to is the MAC Charged Water Skin Hydrating Mist. I just spritz it all over my face and it gives that more refreshed look.
Lip balm/Lip primer
My current lip balm/lip conditioner is the Jersey Shore Sun MONGONGO. I got this in one of my subscription box from Ipsy. It is organic and its anti-aging plus it smells so good!!
Whether I have 5 mins or an hour to get ready, foundation is something I can never go out without. This helps me even out my complexion and makes me look refreshed, and I feel like skipping this step makes me look tired. I’m currently loving the NARS All day Luminous Weightless Foundation. It has a light to medium coverage that gives a natural finish. I usually apply it using a beauty blender, and the finish it gives is AMAZING! If you want a foundation that doesn’t feel like you’re wearing one, I recommend you to try this.
This is another essential to my makeup routine. For me, foundation and concealer is like Batman and Robin. One can’t go alone without the other. (Is that a weird comparison? hahah) But yea, you get what I mean. The best concealer for me so far is the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. It matches well with my foundation, and it blends well with my skin tone. It’s good at hiding my blemishes too without looking cakey
Brows / Eyes
I’m not an expert on brows, I still have a lot to learn about how to properly fill them. But, I think I’m getting better at it a little bit. Before, brows are the last thing on my makeup routine, I usually just skip them if I have no time. Today, I finally include it in my routine. The product I’m currently using is the Essence Make Me Brow Eyebrow Gel. It does its job well in filling my brows PLUS it’s only $4. After filling in my brows, I usually go straight toeyes. You can never go wrong with a winged eyeliner. I swear by the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner. It’s perfect for my winged eyeliner since it’s not that thick, which works well on how thick or thin you want your eyeliner to be. I often skip mascara since I am allergic to it.
My FAVOURITE part of my routine!! My go-to contour palette is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit. I use this palette on a daily basis, and I’m in love with it. It’s highly blendable and it really gives that definition to your face. I often dust a little bit in the hollows of my cheekbones, and a little bit on my temples and forehead.
Finally, on to the lips. I often alternate between the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in Stockholm and the MAC Satin Lipstick in Captive. I swear by these two, it doesn’t dry my lips and I just love it! I’m someone who can’t go out and leave the house without any color on my lips.
