Happy Birthday to me! Well, technically, my birthday was last Thursday. I would love a month-long celebration, though. Life is precious, so making your day special is really important.
On my actual birthday, I worked so I didn’t plan anything special. But little did I know, my mom planned a little “surprise” celebration for me. She secretly invited my friends and some of our close family friends to join us for dinner at home. One of the things I love about “typical” Filipino families like us, is that even when their children are past the legal age they still treat them like their babies. At least that’s how my parents treat my brother and myself.
And last Saturday, I went out for dinner with my friends. I’m happy that despite their busy schedules, they were able to celebrate this special day with me. So thankful for each one of them and for always making my birthday a memorable one.
Up until this moment, I still can’t grasp the idea of me turning 24. In my 24 years of existence, I have a lot of things to be grateful for. I’m blessed to have such supportive family who has been with me all throughout the 24 years. And my friends who I can always count on. I’m thankful for all the things I’ve experienced, and I look forward to what the next 50 years have in store for me.
I’ve achieved quite a few goals that I have, and one of that is blogging. I’ve always been so passionate about blogging, so last year I took that plunge and entered the world of blogging. I’m fortunate enough that I can do things that I love so much. So my goal for the next years to come, is to be more open to new opportunities and possibilities. To just be happy and to live a more positive life. I am working on taking more risks and to travel more.
