It felt like summer months just flew by, and we are already heading towards the end of summer. It seems like I didn’t even do anything this summer, and I’m already counting the days till I go back to school. (which sucks, btw!)
Shorter summer because of summer classes. Homeworks, reports, and exams piled up, which discouraged me to go out and enjoy summer. So now that summer class had ended, I don’t want to waste another day during the last few weeks of summer.
So here are a few things that you can do to make the most of your summer:
I live in one of the most beautiful provinces in Canada, it offers lots of amazing hikes with breathtaking views. Trails are literally everywhere. Hike to get your exercise done and you get to enjoy the beauty of nature. But make sure to bring water (don’t forget to hydrate yourself) and food. Then, end your day by watching the sunset from the top of the mountain.
Gather your family and friends for a relaxing movie night. What’s better than having good company. Grab a nice movie, some popcorn, snacks, pop and you’re good to go. If you get bored from the traditional movie nights, move the movie night in your backyard, set up a projector and speakers. If that sounds like a bit of a hassle, try the drive – in movie. But don’t forget to bring blankets and chairs.
Hit the beach
What’s more fun to do this summer than to hit the local beach and have a picnic. It’s beachwear season after all. 😀 But before you hop in your car, make sure you have everything you need, sunscreen, blankets, and lots and lots of food. (oh, btw don’t forget your swimsuit 😉 )
Go on a road trip
If you want to do something memorable, go on a road trip. Rent an RV, invite your friends, and hit the road. Whether it’s an hour long drive or 16 hours, this is worth the adventure. If you don’t have a budget to travel some place new, going on a road trip is a cheaper alternative. Plus, you’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular views that your country has to offer.
Be a tourist in your own city
I’m pretty sure most of us haven’t fully explored what our city has to offer yet. So take this chance to get to know your own town, whether to hop on the train, take the bus to tour the city or to simply join a walking tour. But more importantly, make sure to bring a camera to capture the beauty of your own city. Also use this opportunity to change your usual route to work and on your way back home, and try to venture out other paths and see where it might take you.
So get out of your house and enjoy the last bit of summer. There are lots of things you can do, you don’t have to travel some place far to make the most of your summer.
